My dear students,

it is the matter of great pleasure and privilege to present to you a brief account of the Kalikadevi Arts, Commerce and  Science College, Shirur Kasar.

Our respected leader and Ex. M.P. late Mrs. Kesharbai Sonajirao Kshirsagar alias Kaku established this college in 2002.  Shirur  Kasar is a small place which is popularly known as ‘Sugarcane Cutting Labourer Taluka’, where most of the youths  were deprived  of higher education. Despite the constraint, our founder with her foresight for the future and with great vision  started this college.

I am proud to mention that the college not only provides quality education but looks after the overall development of  students and   shape them as a responsible citizen coming from rural background. In a very short span, we have achieved  “B” grade of NAAC  with CGPA; 2.65 maintain “B” grade after Facing New Format of NAAC Institutional Assessment and  Accreditation (Effective from  July 2017) Accreditation - (Cycle: 2) with CGPA; 2.45. Before our college has been certified  with ISO 9001:2015 by continual  Management Services Aurangabad. We have attractive infrastructure with well equipped  Computer and Science Laboratories, Class Rooms, Seminar Hall, modernized Library, Sports, Life Long Learning and Adult Continuing Education and Extension Services, Earn while you Learn Scheme, Competitive Examinations Guidance Cell, YCMOU Center and NSS. We have Home Science/Geography/Physical Education as an optional subject to develop entrepreneurship among rural girls & boys.

Our Central Library is enriched with books, journals, magazines, periodicals, newspapers. Library is equipped with LIBMAN- MYSQL. We have Dr. BabaSaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University’s Remote Access of E- Resources facility where one can go through thousands of e-books and e-journals.  To make the students perfect and skilled citizens, we have also started the courses like Library Management, Dairy Management, Sales Representative, Certificate Course in Communicative English and Anganwadi Course.

We are proud of strong team of meticulously trained, dedicated and committed faculty and staff to shape the young minds. Hence, the college has been successful for sending out the brightest youngsters in the society.  

Still we have miles to go but we are glad that we have initiated educational culture in this rural area.  Our alumni and current students are the back bone of our College. I, on behalf of my entire team, assure you the education of excellence.
